She has always been passionate about helping people. Her favorite part of prevention work is being able to connect with people and encouraging them to make positive, healthy choices.

Maritza is dedicated to providing valuable resources that empower and impact the families she serves. She believes in the power of prevention. Maritza understands how providing adequate research data and teaching parents how to recognize the signs of substance use can ultimately decrease high-risk choices and reduce the rate of substance use in youth.

Montgomery County Youth to Youth members truly love helping their peers and making a difference in their community. They feel empowered when creating activities to help address youth issues such as anxiety, depression, suicide, and substance use. They believe in getting ahead of problems — identifying solutions and engaging their peers to help create a healthy, thriving Montgomery County.

Rev. Dr. Jones values and love prevention work — prevention is personal for him. As a Pastor, engaged in ministry, his calling is to serve the holistic needs of people.  He believes we must reach people where they are — to touch their heart and heal their soul, but also their mind, body, and spirit as well. He firmly believes that there is life beyond addiction.
