Luke models a healthy lifestyle by engaging in activities that promote a healthy life such as school athletics, organizing foosball tournaments with local youth ambassadors, and participating in leadership conferences to improve the methods and message of sharing prevention with his peers.
The success and growth of the Campbell County Drug-Free Alliance is rooted in volunteers. These dedicated community members have not wavered from pursuing prevention in Campbell County, Kentucky. The Coalition’s mission is to build community partnerships — partnerships that create an environment and promote a lifestyle free of alcohol, tobacco, and other drugs for Campbell County youth.
Maritza is dedicated to providing valuable resources that empower and impact the families she serves. She believes in the power of prevention. Maritza understands how providing adequate research data and teaching parents how to recognize the signs of substance use can ultimately decrease high-risk choices and reduce the rate of substance use in youth.
Montgomery County Youth to Youth members truly love helping their peers and making a difference in their community. They feel empowered when creating activities to help address youth issues such as anxiety, depression, suicide, and substance use. They believe in getting ahead of problems — identifying solutions and engaging their peers to help create a healthy, thriving Montgomery County.
Rev. Dr. Jones values and love prevention work — prevention is personal for him. As a Pastor, engaged in ministry, his calling is to serve the holistic needs of people. He believes we must reach people where they are — to touch their heart and heal their soul, but also their mind, body, and spirit as well. He firmly believes that there is life beyond addiction.
