Youth mental health awareness and suicide prevention programs and resources are imperative as schools navigate the challenges of the COVID 19 pandemic. Sources of Strength OHIO and Be Present Ohio are two state initiatives that provide research based and best practice tools in suicide prevention and mental health awareness to schools and youth community groups at NO COST. Julie Cameron from PreventionFIRST!, Erin Horn with 1N5 and Evi Roberts from the Ohio Suicide Prevention Foundation will discuss these initiatives and the opportunities for schools and community groups to bring these resources to Ohio youth.

2. Participants will recall the history and philosophy of Sources of Strength & how Sources of Strength bridges the gaps in suicide prevention by strengthening protective factors & encouraging help seeking behaviors
3. Participants will recognize Be Present Ohio as an online resource that promotes mental health awareness & normalizes positive coping mechanisms, self-care, & help-seeking behaviors in youth populations
