The pandemic has brought to the forefront concerns that prevention and public health professionals have known for years - that behavioral health prevention is paramount for youth as they grow into young adults. Prevention is at a pivotal point to advance social and emotional health strategies. As professionals we have the opportunity to share the scientific evidence, and proven strategies we know about the connection between substance use/misuse prevention, suicide prevention and mental wellness with parents, youth, and communities. 
 
Dr. Kelly Blankenship from Dayton Children's Hospital is this year's PF! Coalition Academy keynote speaker. She will speak to how we can address substance use, suicide and mental health as one collective issue during this pandemic.
