The community of Anderson Township will join in regional efforts to address the opioid epidemic by hosting a "PF! Call to Action Community Forum" on Wednesday, February 15 starting at 7:00 p.m. at Nagel Middle School, 1500 Nagel Rd., Cincinnati, OH 45255. The Anderson Township Heroin Citizen's Committee will address opioid abuse and prevention.

Anderson's own, Newtown Police Chief Tom Synan and Dr. Stephen Feagins from Mercy Health, will be among a panel of experts to speak to community members on the topic of opioid prevention and treatment, harm reduction and supply reduction which includes prescription drugs and heroin. Those in attendance will be given several practical options and strategies that they can begin to implement in order to prevent and reduce opiate abuse in their communities.

The Anderson Township Heroin Citizen's Committee applied for and were awarded grant funds from PreventionFIRST! to host this event. Funding was made available to PF! through Interact for Health which is an independent 501 (c)(4) social welfare organization dedicated to improving community health.
