Nicole Schiesler is President and CEO at PreventionFirst! Nicole has worked in the prevention field since 1997. She is an Ohio Certified Prevention Consultant (OCPC), an International Certified Prevention Specialist (ICPS), and a Master Certified Health Education Specialist (MCHES). She is the 2019 recipient of the University of Cincinnati, College of Education, Criminal Justice, and Human Services (CECH) Distinguished Alumni Award. In 2026, Nicole was awarded the Ohio Prevention Professionals Association (OPPA) Prevention Visionary Award.

Nicole has a Bachelor of Science in community health from Ohio University and a Master of Education in health promotion and education from the University of Cincinnati. She is a graduate of the Community Leaders Institute (CLI) and the Nonprofit Leadership Institute of Greater Cincinnati (NLIGC.) EXCEL Leadership Program XIV. Nicole is also a BOLD 7 graduate and Leader Circle member — both programs of the Leadership Council for Nonprofits. Nicole is a master trainer for SAMHSA’s Substance Abuse Prevention Skills Training (SAPST) and an Ohio Coaching and Mentoring (OCAM) Network coach and mentor.

She is a member of the Hamilton County Addiction Response Coalition (HCARC) and serves on the steering committee and as co-chair of the coalition’s prevention committee. Nicole also sits on the One Source Center Advisory Council.
