Student Drug Use Survey (SDUS)

PreventionFIRST!’s Student Drug Use Survey is administered every two years; this data was collected in the fall of 2017. We utilize a modified version of the Pride Surveys questionnaire – a valid & reliable measurement tool of youth drug use. All schools in the tri-state region were invited to participate. This year, nearly 33,000, 7th-12th grade students from 80 schools across southwest Ohio participated. The data is representative of the schools and communities who participated in the survey. This survey has been implemented ten times in the Greater Cincinnati area and is viewed across the region as the most current and reliable source of validated information on youth substance abuse.
