Building Prevention with Faith Event

Many people look to their faith communities for help and answers in times of need.  People dealing with substance use disorder - rather their own or that of a loved one - are no exception.  This event will inform faith leaders on the specific role the faith community can play in keeping problems with substances from ever developing.

Description

This is a one day event designed to bring Hamilton County faith leaders and members together to discuss the current addiction epidemic and how to best support families, friends, and children.  All participants will receive the Building Prevention With Faith toolkit and other resources.

Purpose

  • Build relationships among leaders of the faith community from various denominations with prevention professionals
  • Provide members of the faith community with substance misuse prevention education.
  • To distribute PreventionFIRST!’s faith-based toolkit & other resources
